Perfectly Preventable Deaths by Deirdre Sullivan

Sixteen-year-old twins Mandy and Catlin have just moved to Ballyfrann- a strange town in the mountains with a history of teenage girls going missing.

In Ballyfrann the inseparable sisters start to drift. Catlin falls in love and Maddy starts discovering powers she never thought someone could have.

Maddy has to find something hidden in her if she is going to protect her sister from this town which is more dangerous than either girl can imagine.

This book was better than I ever could have imagined. It had just the right amount of fantasy to not be overwhelming but still feel otherworldly. While reading this book, I kept getting lost in the pages and it felt like I was in the book.

Perfectly Preventable Deaths is great because even though there are a lot of serious, suspenseful moments in the book, there are also a surprising amount of moments that made me laugh out loud. There are a bunch of great moments in this book where I had to stop and reread a paragraph over and over because I was so entranced by it.

This book is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone who is even mildly interested in witches, spooky forests, castles with secrets or sacrifice. I have seen this book be loved by fantasy haters and in my opinion that means almost everybody would like this book.
