I loved My Love Life And The Apocalypse, it is a sweet book about the end of the world. It’s fast paced and has lovable characters. The book is very funny and has a some unexpectedly dark twists sprinkled throughout. 

My Love Life And The Apocalypse follows Echo, a part human, part robot and has can’t remember anything from before three years ago when he woke up in a city full of bots. Being the only human around, he survived on old movies and canned beans. This changes when a girl falls from the sky in a space-pod. The girl, Pandora is Echo’s last hope, and he’s hers – if they really are all that’s left alive.

This book is full of adventure, romance and 90s pop culture references. It was really exciting to learn about Echo and Pandora’s pasts and watch their relationship grow. Both Echo and Pandora are amazing characters but my favorites are definitely Gort and Rex. Gort because he is the funniest character, I love his emotionless responses and his need to help humans. Rex because for some reason I always love the little pets that are rarely mentioned and are  usually forgotten about.

I would recommend My Love Life And The Apocalypse to anyone who likes funny dystopian and love at first sight.
