My Favorite Red Mysteries

A Good Gurls Guide To Murder by Holly Jackson

For her final-year project, Pippa Fitz-Amobi decides to investigate a murder. Five years ago Andie Bell disappeared, the police assume she was murdered by her boyfriend at the time, Sal Singh. Pip doesn’t believe Sal is guilty, and she will do everything in her power to uncover the hidden secrets behind the death.

I really enjoyed A Good Girls Guide To Murder. It is super fast paced and has some very unexpected plot twists. I read it in about a day and it sucked me right in.

The Bad Luck Light House by Nicki Thornton

The Bad Luck Light House is the sequel to The Last Chance Hotel. Both are really fun and exciting murder mysteries and they are some of my favorite middle grade books.

The Last Chance Hotel is about Seth, a kitchen boy who works in a hotel isolated from the world. When a group of strange magicians arrive one night, Seth has one job, to make the best dessert their leader Dr Thallonius. When the doors of a private dinner are opened Dr Thallonius is dead. Everyone blames the dessert that Seth made specially for him but Seth is innocent and is the only one able to find the killer and prove his innocence.

I can’t tell you much about The Bad Luck Lighthouse without spoiling The Last Chance Hotel but they are both amazing books.

Win Lose Kill Die by Cynthia Murphy

Win Lose Kill Die is an amazingly horrifying book with lots of murder, romance and death. It is fast paced and full of action.

I have already reviewed it so if you want to know more you can look at that post

One Of Us Is Lying by Karen M. McManus

One Of Us Is Lying is a great book with lots of action. It will keep you guessing until the end. It is about Bronwyn, Cooper, Nate and Addy, the geek, the jock, the criminal and the princess. They get stuck in the middle of the investigation of the mysterious death of one of their classmates. They can’t trust each other. One of them must have killed their classmate, Simon.
