The Chestnut Roaster By Eve McDonnell

The Chestnut Roaster is about Piaf, a twelve year old in Paris. She has the extraordinary ability to remember everything and she has the horrible burden of never forget. While she is getting her haircut she realizes that everyone has forgotten the last year. At first she got the few she interacted with were crazy but then she realized it was everyone. Piaf and her twin brother Luc go on a dangerous search for the memory thief and the many gifted children everyone forgot were missing. Will they manage to survive the Evil they will find searching through Paris’s lost twin – the Catacombs.

The book is amazingly written and the pictures inside are stunning. I love the characters because they are all so different. My favorite has Véronique. She is just the sweetest of them all (in my opinion) and she cares so much for her father.

I would recommend it to anyone over nine. It is just so sweet that i think anyone could appreciate it.
