Let’s Play Murder by Kesia Lupo

Let’s Play Murder has a great blend of creepy VR and murder mystery. It has great characters that are all untrustworthy and very unpredictable.

I think if I had to choose a favorite character, it would be Charlie. This is probably an unpopular choice because she is a bully and she is just really mean. I like her because she made me laugh. I probably need to have better standards for choosing my favorite characters.

Veronica finds herself playing virtual reality since she vowed never to play it again two years ago. When playing with her brother, she gets transported to another game. There are four others who find themselves in the same situation. They are all in The Game. A virtual reality game that you cannot choose to play. All five players

must work together to solve a murder mystery if they wan’t to leave the game. Then things go wrong, people start dying.

Let’s Play Murder is such an amazing book. It is super fast paced and has some huge plot twists. The ending is spectacular. It made the experience of reading the last quarter of the book 5 times better (I’m not saying the first three quarters of the book are bad, if you read it that way, the last quarter of the book is just really good.)

The book will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole way through and is really fun to read. I would recommend it to anyone who likes VR and murder mysteries. I would especially recommend it to anyone who liked Ready Player One.
