Every Line Of You by Naomi Gibson

Every Line Of You is about Lydia, a girl grieving who created a powerful AI. It’s name is Henry. Henry would do anything to protect Lydia, and Lydia would do anything to be loved. Henry keeps upgrading to get stronger and more humane, to be with Lydia. But there are people their tail, each hack could end with dire consequences.

I loved Every Line Of You because I am very interested in coding and books like this have always been really interesting. Every Line Of You keeps you on your toes, you’ll never know what Henry will upgrade to next. It will make you happy and in some places, unbelievably sad.

My favorite character was Emma for reasons unknown to me. Maybe it was because there is one good moment where every awful thing she has ever done should be forgotten and to me she is a new person. I dont really know why the enemy for at least some of the book is my favorite, she just is.

I would recommend this to people who like coding or to anyone who enjoyed Jinxed by Amy McCulloch, I find both books to be similar in ways.
