Dangerous Remedy is a historical fiction book set at the end of the French Revolution. It’s a nice balance of history, science and magic. It is about a small group of rebels that call themselves the Battalion of the Dead, they save people from executions. But their latest job is very peculiar.
Dangerous Remedy is an amazing book that is impossible to look away from. It has many twists and turns that you wont expect. It’s really funny and the characters feel real.
My favourite character is definitely Al because he is really funny. I also like James for reasons I can not tell you.
I would recommend this book to people who like historical fiction and people who don’t, like I said earlier the book has a nice balance of history, science and magic.
I saw Kat Dunn’s panel at YALC and it was super interesting hearing about how she did her research. She had to do all of it online because of Covid. Dangerous Remedy is the first in a trilogy.
