Sword Of The Sun by Sinéad O’Hart

Sword Of The Sun follows Ben, whose had to move away from the city and into the remote house where his mother grew up. He hates it, but when he notices the mysterious people and crows always watching him, even in his dreams, Ben begins to look deeper into the history surrounding the area and his family. He learns more about the warriors and heroes that obsessed hiss grandfather until his death. Ben realizes that the stories may be more real that he first thought and with a sinister force arriving, Ben might not have the power to face it alone.

I loved Sword Of The Sun. It is super fast paced and has great characters. Ben’s relationships with his brother and cousin are really interesting to read about. I really liked seeing them all grow closer together and work as a team throughout the book.

In Sword Of The Sun I learned a lot about some Irish myths and gods. I liked being able to learn about these stories with the characters because it helped make it easier to understand everything that was going on.

I would recommend this to people who like fantasy and people who don’t. I have seen this book be enjoyed by someone who hates almost all fantasy books. This book is also great for people who are interested in mythology or like The Silver Road by Sinéad O’Hart.
