Freya’s Gold follows Freya, a girl who’s lived in her grandmother’s bed and breakfast her whole life. When a mysterious guest comes to stay in February, she gets suspicious. No one ever stays at the B&B during the winter months and this guest could end Freya and her grandmothers peaceful life. Freya needs to find a way to save her home and her town before something irreversible happens.
Freya’s Gold is such a sweet book. It’s a great, fast paced middle grade book. I read it in just one day. I really enjoyed Freya’s Gold, probably even more than Looking For Emily which my whole family and I adore.
The characters are really amazing, I loved seeing the friendship Freya has with Lin and Teddy, I especially loved how they were able to go from being strangers and not talking to Freya to growing so close to them and being able to work together so well. Freya is such a good character, I love how determined she is and how kind she is to Teddy despite the things they are both dealing with and her suspicions towards him.
This is such a fun adventure with some great twists. I loved the mystery and especially the puzzle parts of it. I liked being able to see how Freya approached each problem.
Freya’s Gold is perfect for anyone who likes mystery books. It’s also full of adventure and great friendships.
